Dale's Easy Song Book
Free Dale Mathis backing tracks for your Roland FR-4x or FR-8x
How to use backing tracks.
1 Check out which sheet music songs you would like to play, then down load the sheet music
2 You will need to download the backing track WAV files to a new, empty USB memory stick. Roland accordions are a bit fussy about memory sticks. Try using these: 8GB or 16GB Lexar or NXT brand sticks. You may find these at Amazon or Staples Office Supply. (Check if the stick will work on your accordion by making a test song recording. Insert the stick into the accordion. Press record. Play a few bars of a song. Press record to stop the record process. Press the Menu/Write button to save the song. Press Song List button. Look in LCD screen, you should see "Song 1". Press play. If your sample recording can be heard, you know that your USB memory stick is working.)
3 Transfer the backing track files from your computer to your USB memory stick.
4 Insert memory stick into the accordion
5 Press Song List, use Value + or - on 4x model, right or left arrow on 8x model, to selection song in your LCD window
6 Press Play to begin
You may have to adjust the Song Playback WAV audio level in the accordion editor. Go to SYSTEM in the editor. Check your owner manual for details.
Or, you can choose an accordion registration that balances well with the backing track audio level.
